Privacy and KVKK Notice

TaskGang has no account. On first launch your device generates an anonymous device id; your name, phone number, email, contacts or location are never asked for or collected.

What our server stores

The server keeps only:

• device id
• nickname and emoji avatar
• country code
• push notification token
• your groups and memberships
• your alarm schedules
• wake records (time, on-time flag)
• XP, badges, streak and coffee-debt counters
• your own pre-selected shame-card keys

Never collected

• Name, email address, phone number or contacts — ever.
• Location — location permission is never requested.
• Photos — the photo task matches on your device; no photo ever leaves your phone.

Who sees what

Group: on the morning board and group stats, your nickname, emoji, wake time and streak are shown only to that group’s members.

Public leaderboards (World / Country): only your nickname, emoji, country, XP, level and badges are shown — nothing else is shared. Group names appear on the public group leaderboard, with the member count, members’ countries and on-time rate, so keep personal details out of a group’s name.

Push notifications

Notifications are sent through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — unavoidable for Android push. The push token is used only to deliver notifications.

Server location

Your data is stored on our DigitalOcean server in the United States. Notifications are delivered through Google and Apple.

Retention

Wake records older than 30 days are deleted automatically every night. Your total XP, level, badge and streak counters are running totals, not records — they are never deleted by this purge.

Deleting my data

"Delete my data" in Settings permanently removes your device id and everything linked to it from the server.
